Here's something a little different for Recipe day.

Have itchy, tight skin? A balm is perfect for it. Here are two recipes made from the same base:

Base:
½ c Coconut Oil
½ c Shea Butter
½ c Beesewax
½ c Cocoa Butter

Melt together over double boiler. If you want to keep it as just one natural body balm, pour the mixture into a large bottle with a sealable lid. However, it can be more fun to separate it into two or more jars to either give one to a friend, or to create different 'kinds'.

For instance, if you're pregnant and want a nice, safe balm for your burgeoning tummy:

Belly Balm:
½ Base recipe
3 vitamin E capsules
10 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
12 drops Rosehip Seed Essential Oil

Puncture the vitamin E capsules with a pin and squeeze out liquid. Add Rosemary oil and Rosehip seed oil to the base before it goes back to its normal form which will be thick. Once it thickens, use at will. It's very nice and smells amazing.

Foot Balm:
½ Base recipe
2 Tablespoons Witch Hazel
10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
8 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
8 drops Orange Essential Oil

Add the witch hazel and essential oils to your base recipe before it thickens. It can be used at any time, but on those days when your legs and feet ache, this can be a real treat.
